Do you ever enjoy a delicious frothy craft beer, a refreshing cocktail, or a sparkling soft drink? If so, you've probably encountered Ayano's products. This company designs and decorates items such as glasses and bottles—about 100 million pieces each year. Today, the organisation is well-established in the Benelux and France. The next goal? To conquer the European market. A formidable challenge, especially in terms of planning and logistics. A user-friendly and flexible ERP system was therefore essential. And that’s exactly what was missing—until now…
The objective: bring order to the warehouse … and the processes
Ayano was initially looking for a solution for their WMS. "We have 15,000 m² of warehouse space and countless items in stock. Logistics were not running as smoothly as they should," says Erwin Meeuwesen, CEO of Ayano. "We had implemented an ERP system in 2020, but despite many promising features, it did not meet our needs. We decided to seek a solution in the form of a WMS that we could integrate with our existing system. At the same time, we were not eager to invest heavily again."
Building trust
“We started searching for a new implementation partner to help us restore order. That’s when Rezolv came onto our radar. After the first demo, it became clear that it would be more budget-friendly and operationally advantageous for us to switch entirely to Odoo. Rezolv needed to earn our trust with a case study—not just any, but one involving glass, with processes we know inside and out. It was a significant challenge, but they managed to convince us. We understood what we saw, and every step made sense.”



The collaboration: from review to sprints
It all started with a Review to map out the current situation and pain points. This was followed by an analytical phase with workshops to align all the needs.
“During one of the first sessions, I was asked what we wanted. For me, the system needed to be simple, flexible, fast, reliable, and secure. It had to support us from quote to invoice and be integrated with our production and inventory. Having had a less successful implementation before, we knew which pitfalls we wanted to avoid. It quickly became clear: Rezolv delivers on its promises. Continuity and a dedicated product owner who wants to understand and help us are crucial in such a project,” says Erwin.
Structured approach
Erwin: “For the workshops, we identified seven concrete topics, including purchasing, logistics, sales, and warehousing. We went through these systematically, with myself, the CFO, an operational manager, and several people from the relevant department. For each topic, we noted what we considered important on post-its. From all those notes, a backlog of requirements emerged.”
“We appreciated the focused and structured nature of the workshops. At the end of each day, we received a summary, so we immediately knew if Rezolv had understood us. We also valued their proactive approach to our processes, ensuring that we didn't overlook anything.”
Accelerating the sprint
Ayano, in consultation with Rezolv, determined which requirements were a priority and which would be addressed in a later phase. In two-week sprints, Ayano received several solutions to test. Feedback had to be processed within two weeks of delivery.
The entire scrum team is present during the feedback sessions for efficient follow-up. The goal is to go live with the new system after five sprints, with delivery scheduled for March 2024.
The results: a strong backbone for future growth
“Has anything changed at Ayano with the new ERP system? No, and that’s the point. Rezolv ensures that the system fits perfectly with our company: they understand our way of working, offer improvement tips based on industry standards, and provide best practices tailored to our processes. We are still in the training and implementation phase, so concrete results are not yet visible. However, we have set specific operational and financial improvement goals. We still rely heavily on paper, with all the delays and risks that come with it. Digitalisation will reduce error rates and also free up time for other tasks that will drive our growth.”
Shifting into high gear
"More generally, we will work faster and more uniformly. Our current system is slow and cumbersome, leading employees to maintain separate spreadsheets. There's also no integration with our warehouse or production, resulting in additional manual input. Now, we're shifting into high gear. We have a solid foundation to realise our European dream, especially since we can easily roll this system out to potential international locations.”
A warm welcome
Ayano employees get acquainted with their new ERP system during training sessions. Key users receive training from Rezolv and then train their colleagues with support. Erwin: “I am closely involved in all the sprint deliveries because an ERP is the backbone of our company. We were anxious to see how our people would react. But even after the first training session, I heard enthusiastic feedback. The smooth operation of the system made everyone look forward to more. I can already see that people are blossoming and growing in their roles.”
